125mm Semiflexible Silicon Carbide Discs are heavy-duty abrasive grinding discs designed for aggressive grinding, shaping and surface preparation of stone, marble, concrete and general building materials.
Unlike a conventional flat fibre disc, the semiflexible construction allows the disc to conform more effectively to uneven, curved and contoured surfaces. The silicon carbide abrasive provides a sharp cutting action on hard and brittle materials, making these discs particularly useful for masonry and stone-working applications.
The open, structured abrasive surface helps reduce clogging and heat build-up, maintaining an effective cutting action during demanding grinding applications.
How Semiflexible Discs Work
Semiflexible discs combine an abrasive surface with a backing that has enough flexibility to follow the shape of the workpiece.
When fitted to a compatible angle grinder with the appropriate backing pad, the silicon carbide abrasive removes material as the rotating disc contacts the surface.
The semiflexible construction is particularly useful when working on:
- Uneven stone and concrete surfaces
- Curved or contoured areas

- Surface imperfections
- Areas where a rigid grinding wheel may be too aggressive
