GSA Fire Seal 1679W is a high-performance, one-component intumescent acrylic fire-rated sealant designed for fire protection, acoustic sealing and construction joint applications.
Tested to AS 1530.4, GSA Fire Seal can provide fire resistance of up to 4 hours when installed in accordance with the relevant tested system. It is suitable for fire-rated joints, fire door frames, service penetrations, tilt-up construction and other passive fire applications.
The water-based acrylic formulation provides excellent adhesion to many common construction materials and accommodates joint movement of up to ±15%. It can also be used as an acoustic sealant in plasterboard partition systems, with an acoustic rating of 56 STC under the referenced test conditions.
Supplied as a 300ml white cartridge in a pack of 12, making it suitable for builders, fire-protection contractors, maintenance teams and commercial construction projects.
